I have many fond memories of Uncle Mel. He was very wise and had a great laugh. I have tried to make his wine but not very successfully! May he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love and Peace, Heidi

Mel was a great teacher and mentor and very kind. Mel taught me good work ethics and how to enjoy Nature. He taught me how to do fly fishing for trout, hunt for ducks. One time he almost got me stuck wading knee deep in mud in the Wisconsin River at one of his favorite duck hunting stops. His recipe for smoking fish was the best. Mel will be missed!
