Milton - Lawrence Ralph Schantz, age 92, of Milton, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Milton Senior Living. He was born on Nov. 30, 1929, in Madison, the son of Ralph and Florence (Brandt) Schantz.
Lawrence graduated from East High School. He married Florence (Strasburg) Schantz on July 8, 1950 in Madison, WI. Lawrence worked as an application engineer for Gillman Engineering, retiring in 1993.
Lawrence is survived by his son, David Schantz; daughter, Nancy DeRungs; four grandchildren, Derrick (Kim) Schantz, Stephen (Ellie) Schantz, Megan (Jason Peterson) DeRungs and Matthew DeRungs; three great-grandchildren, Lily Schantz, Ryker DeRungs and Jackson DeRungs; and daughter-in-law, Susan (David) Schantz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Schantz; and parents, Ralph and Florence Schantz.
A private family burial will take place at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens, Cottage Grove.
