Obituary
POYNETTE - Leila M. Cristan, age 88, of Poynette, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital.
She was born on March 24, 1934, the daughter of Eric and Evelyn (Dereszynski) Gruetzmacher. Leila graduated from Menomonee Falls High School.
Leila worked as a Bartender and Cook for many years at various local area bars and restaurants. Her friendly and talkative ways made you feel immediately welcomed. Leila enjoyed gardening, cooking, and having Packer parties for family and friends.
Leila is survived by two daughters, Stephanie "Penny" Molitor and Pamela (Dennis) Cunningham; three sons, Peter Cristan, Perry (Chris) Cristan, and Parker Cristan; eight grandchildren, Steve Tesch, Tony Conroy, Sal Conroy, Mercedes (Travis) Weber, Ryan Cristan, Racheal (Steffan) Hagen, Chase Cunningham, and Kenan Cunningham; six great-grandchildren (with another on the way); two great-great grandchildren; her special friend/caregiver, Koryn Krueger who was always available for Leila; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Orville and John Gruetzmacher.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
