My Condolences to Everyone in this time of mourning the passing of Eugene Stanis. May You REST IN PEACE }¡{ It is with great sadness and greater Love that I share.... My Uncle "Gene" (& Aunt "Pat") took me into their home for over a year and were my "parents". Uncle Gene taught me so many things during that brief period in my life. I attended Jack London Junior High School in Wheeling, Illinois and I was in the last graduating 9th grade class Ever because the school closed at the finish of that school year. Uncle Gene was so patient with me and taught me about stained glass and let me help him put together the beautiful huge light shade cover that he hung over his pool table, taught me how to Play Pool on that same pool table, how to fish, use a CB radio, Water Ski on two skis and then One ski {my favorite~1 ski}, about boats and how to drive one on Kangaroo Lake in Door County, Wisconsin, about cars, being calm when "others" are NOT calm, and so much more.... I am not trying to write chapters But... Uncle Gene Just know that you will Always be in my ❤ heart and I am the daughter of your Brother Richard George Stanis... Thank you Most of ALL for teaching me being family NO Matter What happens Life ~ Good, Bad, or in between "Family" shares, cares, and everything more ... Especially You Uncle GENE family is # 1 !!!!!!! 1* phone call from your brother Richard "Dick", 1* plane ticket LAX airport/Los Angeles, California to OHare Airport/Chicago, Illinois, 1* Female Teenager/Child Niece ~ME ! 1* Year Parenting when your Own daughters are out living on their own ~Beth and Mary 1* Thank You for Everything !!!!!!! Always had a good time with Pat and Gene. Gene loved to tease me. I’ll have to tell you the French fry story sometime. He certainly will be missed.
