Obituary
STOUGHTON- Agnes "Pudge" Robertson, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9,2022, at home surrounded by her family after a courageous fight with ovarian cancer. She was born on Dec. 9, 1945, in Mauston, Wis., the daughter of Philip and Florence Walsh.
Agnes graduated from Madonna High School in 1963 and from Mercy Nursing School in Janesville, Wis., in 1966 where she established lifelong friends with a group of girls, known as the “Mercy Girls.” She married Thomas Robertson on Oct. 8, 1966. They started their family in Stoughton, a place Agnes would forever call home.
Agnes will be fondly remembered for her kindness, compassion and strong faith. She spent the majority of her nursing career providing care for residents at Skaalen and Nazareth Home and was an active member and volunteer at her parish, St. Ann Catholic Church.
Agnes and Tom enjoyed taking many trips: including rafting down the Colorado River, biking along Mosel River in Germany, and visiting family and friends across the United States and Canada.
Agnes is survived by her husband, Thomas "Tom" of Stoughton; two daughters, Stacey (Chuck) Robertson of Wisconsin Rapids and Paula (Chad) Weiss of Wisconsin Dells; three grandchildren, Natasha Andrae of Carlton, Minn., and Alex and Brett Weiss of Wisconsin Dells; three siblings, Ann Nate of Wisconsin Dells, Elizabeth (Howard) Stauss of Brookfield and Patrick (Barbara) Walsh of Wisconsin Dells; sister-in-law, Gayle Walsh of Lyndon Station; brothers-in-law, David (Judy) Robertson of Arizona and James (Janice) Robertson of Green Bay; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Florence Walsh; and siblings, James Walsh, Mary Klein, Francis Walsh, Michael Walsh, John Walsh and Joani Dixon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ANN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. @ Jackson St., Stoughton, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Thursday. A private family burial will be held at a later time.
