MADISON - Vickie Lee Hermanson, age 76, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on May 12, 1950, in Dodgeville, Wis., the daughter of Donald Alvin and Doris Ione Belgum.
Vickie graduated from Memorial High School in 1969. She worked as a laboratory technician at Invenex Veterinary Labs for seven years.
Vicki found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening and was an avid reader, with a particular interest in medical and science books. She was also a lifelong animal lover who enjoyed the companionship of her pets.
Vickie is survived by her children, John Hermanson Jr. and Diana (Mark) Depriest; daughter-in-law, Christi Craig; siblings, Romona Conrad of Marshfield, Wis., Becky Johnson of Gilbertsville, Pa., Susan Olson of Middleton, Wis., Kenny Robertson of Turtle Lake, Wis., and Keith Hartwig of Milwaukee, Wis.,and brother-in-law, John (JoAnn) Phillips. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Doris; and siblings, Calvin Hartwig of Mount Horeb, Wis., JoAnn Phillips of Mount Horeb, Wis., and Roger.
