MIDDLETON-There is another angel in Heaven today, Shirley Gehling, who passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022. She was born on Jan. 10, 1936, to the late Alice and Richard Stelter. Shirley was married to Vernon Gehling in 1957. He preceded her in death in July of 2013.
Shirley was a mother of three and leaves behind Cory Gehling, Melinda (Rich) De’lia and Kimberly (Robert) Donnelly; grandmother to 10 grandchildren, Sophia and Samantha Gehling, Melissa (Shawn) Keeler, Robin (Joe) Aguis, Patrick and Kayleigh Donnelly, Nick, Joey and Daniel De’lia, and Chandra (Lee) Nelson; and great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren.
We are all going to deeply miss her. She lived a beautiful life and fought a gallant battle with cancer this past year. She was a devoted housewife and mother. Family came first.
The family has honored her wishes for no wake with a private family cemetery Mass. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Vernon, at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lodi, Wis. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
