MADISON - John Charles Kober, age 64, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was born on Nov. 20, 1957, in Illinois, the son of Philip and Margaret (Mason) Kober.
John graduated from Evanston Township High School, Illinois in 1975. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Roosevelt University and his associate degree in electronics from DeVry University. John worked as a computer technician for various companies for about 10 years. He ultimately became disabled with multiple sclerosis limiting his activities.
John enjoyed baseball, football, basketball, photography, and spent time watching TV and playing computer games. He spent his time interacting with family members and was also a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Monona, Wis., and regularly attended worship there.
John is survived by his brother, Philip Mason Kober; and two sisters, Barbara Mary Kober and Margaret Bryden Kober. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at ST. STEPHENS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5700 Pheasant Hill Road, Monona, at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Memorials may be gifted in John’s name to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Monona, WI.
