Obituary
Sun Prairie - Gary Lee Turk, age 84, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the VA Hospital. He was born on Sept. 26, 1937, in Avoca, Iowa, the son of George and Stella Turk. Gary served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Janet Schuldt on Feb. 4, 1967.
Gary was owner/operator of Fox Gun Shop for 20 years. He was a member Trinity Lutheran Church. Gary was a hunter safety education instructor for over 20 years with the State of Wisconsin and was an avid hunter, fisherman, bird watcher, and enjoyed taking pictures of the natural world around him. Gary was a big fan of UW women's volleyball, the Brewers and the Packers.
Gary is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Daniel (Cynthia Pearl) Turk; and grandson, Isaiah Turk. He was preceded in death by his father, George Turk; and mother, Stella Turk.
Funeral Services will be held at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago St., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
