I have such fond childhood memories of our summer day trips with Aunt Linda driving us kids around to different activities in the one of the earlier extended cab pickup truck and a topper over the bed. Swimming trips to Governor Dodge, local pools, movie theaters, roller skating, and anywhere else we could find to get into. All of us kids were wild and crazy, probably dirty and stinky from playing on the farm. Rarely did she feel the need to get onto us, but the few times she did it was well deserved and I have to say I learned a very satisfying brake check move to employ while driving if kids are wildly acting up in the car and not listening or sitting . Of course, today we have different regulations with seat belts and the move doesn’t produce quite the same effect, but back in the 70’s and early 80’s it was common for kids to ride in the back if you had a topper/shell. It would certainly get our attention. I’m sorry for her loss, but know she’s now reunited with Uncle Charlie and free of pain. RIP
