Obituary
MADISON-Gregg Alan Coplien, age 65, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on Nov. 6, 1956, in Monroe, the son of Dwight and Joyce (Grinnell) Coplien. Gregg was a graduate of Monroe High School, class of 1974. He was united in marriage to Dawn St. John on Sept. 16, 1989, in Monona.
Gregg enjoyed watching NASCAR and riding his motorcycle.
Gregg is survived by his two daughters, Tracy Coplien and Ashley (Andrew) Johnson; mother, Joyce; brother, James (Gertrude) Coplien; and six grandchildren, Alexander, Braxton, Chloe, Jacob, Caleb and Liam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn; father, Dwight; and granddaughter, Hailey.
A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
