MADISON - Ricky Bedward, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. He was born on Nov. 19, 1959, in Madison, Wis., the son of Eldon and Betty (Mason) Bedward.
After communicating for three months every night, a date was finally planned when most people fall in love, Ricky tripped during a January blizzard, where he met Lidia in 2000. They dated for 11 years and got married in 2012.
Ricky was a wonderfully kind man who enjoyed woodworking, fishing and collecting matchbox cars. He loved wearing baseball caps and the loyal companionship of his Golden Retrievers. Ricky enjoyed cooking and grilling. He took things in stride, remaining carefree without allowing the trials of life slow him down.
Ricky is survived by wife, Lidia; two nephews, Benjamin Bedward and Dan Bedward; sister-in-law, Betty Bedward; and his loyal canine companion, Duff. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Bedward; aunt, Ruby; and loyal canines, Zeus and Finnigen.
