Obituary
STOUGHTON - Marie Z. Lunde, age 93, of Stoughton, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at home. She was born on March 29, 1929, in Sun Prairie, the daughter of Edwin and Ruby (Andersen) Ziegler. Marie graduated from Madison East High School. She married Royal Lunde on July 11, 1948.
Marie was a former treasurer for the Town of Pleasant Springs and served as a Stoughton Hospital board member. She was a very hardworking woman and spent most of her working years at Stoughton State Bank. Marie was very proud of her achievements throughout those years at the bank as she started at the bottom and worked her way up to head cashier. She also enjoyed baking and mowing the lawn. Marie was most proud of her children and grandchildren.
Marie is survived by two daughters, Kate (Dennis) Lunde-Wade and Mari (Dave) Johnson; two sons, Royal "Al" Lunde and Mark (Diane) Lunde; three granddaughters, Britt (Andy Yaco-Mink) Lunde, Lindsay Lunde and Jenny Johnson; and two grandsons, Matthew Lunde and Luke Shaffer. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Royal.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 2 p.m., on Saturday, April 23, 2022. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
