MONONA - Christine Erika Gillespie, 91, passed away peacefully of natural causes with her family by her side, on April 8, 2022. She was born on Nov. 11, 1930, in Bruhl, Germany. In 1953, she married Robert Gillespie, Jr., and they lived for many years in Monona.
Christine is survived by her son, Patrick Robert (Kathy); daughter, Kathleen Mary (Michael Fendler); grandson, Michael Patrick; granddaughter, Erika Kathleen; and step-granddaughter, Kristi Kittelson-Burke. She also had seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by husband, Robert; and son, Gordon Thomas.
A visitation will be held at the Monona Lutheran Church, 4411 Monona Dr, Monona, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at Monona Lutheran Church, 4411 Monona Dr, Monona, at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, 401 Femrite Dr, Monona at 12 noon.
