Obituary
Victorio graduated from Abellana National Vocational School (High School) and later on received his Commercial Radiotelegraph Certificate at Universal Technical Institute. He then proceeded to work for Premier Shipping Lines, Inc., as a Marine Surveyor where he was able to travel throughout the islands of the Philippines.
He met his wife, Herminia Antipatia Estrera, in Cebu where Victorio’s family ran a college dormitory and then they were united by marriage on May 3, 1991. Their relationship together was a great example of what true love is and made them great life partners where they both paved a great path of opportunity and success for the family.
Victorio was a proud father to three children, Don Jon Victor, Lemuel, and Lorenz. He loved his music from the 1960s, especially classic rock - his favorite was The Beatles. He loved playing his guitar, which he taught himself how to play. He would sing songs all day wherever he went and the songs he sang would determine how he was feeling that day. His contributions to the Filipino Pamana community were exemplary. He was one of the top contributors to raising money for scholarships for young Filipino students by participating in Christmas caroling fundraisers for three years. He was also notorious for his inappropriate humor but that’s why people gravitated toward him. When you were around Vic, as his friends would call him, you knew you could always expect a laugh no matter the situation. He had an unbreakable will and made it his mission to make people smile every single day.
Victorio lived half of his life with diabetes and battled the disease with the most amazing grace, bravery, and strength. He lived every day with positivity and determination and never let the disease deter him from doing all the things he loved and always showing up for the people he cared for.
Victor was predeceased by his parents Epifania and Lorenzo, and his son, Don Jon Victor (age 4), whom he loved more than anything in this world. He is survived by his spouse, Herminia; his sons, Lemuel and Lorenz; his granddaughter, Natasha Estrera; and his sibling, Gina Estrera.
A memorial service will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
