OREGON - Beverly Brinkman, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022. She was born on Aug. 17, 1943, in Madison, the daughter of Elvie and Selina (Schroeder) Burkeland. She married Terry Brinkman on May 9, 1964.

Bev was a kind and loving person who dedicated her life to serving others and made all that knew her feel like family. She was an in-home care provider, daycare provider, worked in the church nursery, and worked for the Oregon School District in food service. She also volunteered for many organizations. She was the primary care provider for her husband, Terry, for the last 10 years, as she thought it was important to have him home with her. Bev enjoyed baking, making large holiday meals and making birthday cakes for family and friends. She organized family reunions, spent time with her grandchildren, camping, clogging with the Cripple Creek Cloggers, and pitching horseshoes. She always found time to help when someone was in need, whether it was just an ear to listen or to help with a project or a hot meal.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Brinkman; three children, Margaret (Jay) Bales-Geier of Oregon, Wis., Linda (Evan) Perkins of Winona, Minn., and Susan (Ken) McGlauchlen of Wausau, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, Alesha (Cory) Bales, Amanda Bales, Preston (Kourtney) Perkins, Marcus (Caroline) Bales, Christopher (Johanna) McGlauchlen, Erin Perkins, Jordan (Mackenzie) Bales, Caitlyn (Nathan) McGlauchlen, Tristan McGlauchlen and Emily Perkins; two sisters, Lannette (Jim) Cutrell and Katherine Slater; four brothers, Darrell (Elena) Burkeland, Jerome (Sharon) Burkeland, Loren (Teresa) Burkeland and Christopher Burkeland; sister-in-law, Judy Burkeland; brother-in-law, Bob Ohlsen; foster sister, Maria Johnson; and special cousin, Lucille Miller.
