Middleton - Frances V. Roed, age 98, of Middleton, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022. She was born on June 25, 1923, in Hollandale, Wis., the daughter of Herman Azzalino and Mary (Regan) Azzalino.
Frances graduated from Hollandale High School. She married Harold Roed on Sept. 14, 1946. Prior to retirement, Frances worked as an administrative assistant.
In her free time Frances enjoyed going to the casino with her friends. She also enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and entertaining at parties with friends.
Frances is survived by her son, Dennis (Kathy) Roed; daughter, Jody (Larry) Patterson; sister, Donna Griffith; granddaughter, Meghan Roed (Rick Stauffacher); grandsons, Jamie Edwards and Justin (Nicole) Edwards; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Winiferd (Henry) Short, Mary Sahm and Marlene (Merlin) Canon; brother, John (Viola) Azzalino; brother-in-law, Robert Griffith; and her husband, Harold Francis Roed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7450 University Ave., Middleton, at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022. A private family burial will be held. An open house will be held at 6620 Hubbard Ave., Middleton, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
