Obituary

MADISON - Lori Ann Davis, age 55, of Madison, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Legacy Noel Manor. She was born on July 18, 1966, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Thomas and Janice (Glessner) Handel.


Lori graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School in 1984. She attended UW Madison and later earned her master’s degree from Lakeland College and worked as an accountant. She married Brian Davis on Feb. 19, 2004, and was a beloved wife and best friend though life.


Lori enjoyed snowboarding with Brian. They even made multiple trips to Whistler. She loved wakeboarding, water skiing, biking, sailing on the Madison lakes, and crafting. Lori and Brian loved to go camping, kayaking, boating, horseback riding, and watching the sunset. She also enjoyed taking trips to Florida to visit family.


Lori is survived by husband, Brian; sister, Teresa (Eric) Steffen; and father, Thomas Handel. She was preceded in death by mother, Janice; and her brother, Kevin Handel.

My sincere condolences to Lori's family. I was in several high school classes with her, as well as track, and a class at UW. She was such a positive person, indeed a joy to be around. She was kind and intelligent. I feel blessed to have known her. She will be dearly missed.

All of our memories of Lori are fond memories. A dedicated wife, dedicate to family and dedicated to life. As our daughter-in- law, she always made us feel special. She was, and always will be, part of our family. Lori and Brian were inseparable and we will always cherish the times they shared with us: to Lori's big one that got away in the Gulf , vowing to land it someday; to sailing; to fishing; to fall dinner cruises; to venturing the caves; to quiet dinners, pleasant conversation, laughs, and watching the wildlife.
