MADISON - Susan Lee “Suzy” Harrington, age 53, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. She was born on Aug. 21, 1968, in Madison, the daughter of Wayne and Agnes (Swenson) Christofferson.


Susan graduated from LaFollette High School in 1986. She worked for Dean medical records at for 10+ years. Suzy also worked for Tony Franks for 20+ years. She was a loving mother to her children and family. Suzy enjoyed spending time outdoors and taking trips to Devils Lake.


Susan is survived by her two sons, Logan Harrington and Dakota Harrington; six brothers, David Christofferson, Timothy Christofferson, Thomas Christofferson, William Christofferson, Robert (Linda) Christofferson and Ronald Christofferson; sister, Barbara Christofferson; and former husband, Wilfred Harrington. She was preceded in death by her parents.


A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022.

I bet it seems like the sun just went behind the clouds with Suzy's passing! I am so sorry to read of her death; I worked with her at Dean many years ago, but it seems like it was just last week when I walked into the file room and saw her. She never failed to make me smile and laugh (- - - belly laughs most of the time) and she had a unique way of finding the bright side of every mess (in the file room, in the clinic, on the East side of Madison...or anywhere). Her energy gave my days a boost; Suzy had a big smile and an even bigger heart and I am grateful to have known her. Eternal rest grant unto you, Suzy, and may God comfort those you loved.
