Obituary

DEERFIELD - Gary R. Tollefson, age 64, of Deerfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on May 10, 1957, in Madison, the son of Orvel and Lucille (Faust) Tollefson.


Gary graduated from East High School. He married Susan Sather on August 4th, in 1984. He worked as a mechanic for Tri-North Builders for several years.


Gary loved spending time with his family and performing classic rock music in a band with his brother, DT, for many years. He enjoyed camping and riding his Harleys and had an avid interest in firearms.


Gary is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Ross (Brenna) Tollefson; nephews, Weston (Renee) Tollefson and Waylon Tollefson; and nieces, Alexis Tollefson, Brittany Walls and many more. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dennis Tollefson.


A private family service and burial will be held. A celebration of life party for everyone will follow at the DEERFIELD ROD AND GUN CLUB, 4372 Rod and Gun Road, Deerfield, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Man Oh Man Which Good Memory Do I Share With You All,, Okay,, I'll Share The Last Time I Saw Gary Tollefson,,, I Saw Gary Approximately 15 yes Ago,,At A Bar Party On Lake Wisconsin,,My Two Sister's Were Visiting from California,, And All Three Of Us Sister's Were on Our Brother Scott's Boat,,On Lake Wisconsin,To Our Surprise When We Pulled up to the Bar ,There Was A Gathering outside with a Bar,&To All of our Surprise Both Of The Tollefson Brother's Were There,Much Joy Was Shared Amongst us All,, It Started Raining So We All Went into The Main Bar & Carried On The Party,, It Was Awesome To See Gary &Spend Time With Him,, I Hope That Gary is in Peace &Close To GOD,RIP Good Family Friend Gary Tollefson,,Peace Out ☮️‼️✌️‼️‼️🙏🙏‼️

One of the best days of my life was spent with Gary, Sue and my love Jeff Ward. I still have the 50 Cal. shells from way back when. I have traveled over 18k miles with those shells. I am so sorry Garry is gone😥Rest in love my friend❤️

I worked with Gary at Tri- North for many years. Gary always was always ready to hit the road to keep our job sites moving. Great mechanic and great guy! He will be missed by many. Peace his family and friends.
