MADISON - Patricia Ann (Borth) Puckett, 79, passed from this life into eternity at Oak Park Place in Madison, Wis., on Monday, Dec. 12, 2022. Born on June 15, 1943, in Wauzeka, Wis., to Harold and Helen (Nagel) Borth, she was a country girl through and through. She attended and graduated from Wauzeka High School in 1961, where she proved to be a talented softball player, with a strong pitcher’s arm.
Growing up on the family farm, she was no stranger to hard work. Those experiences helped to shape her character and instilled in her a work ethic that would both sustain her and her family as well inspire those around her. Patricia worked for many years at Good Year Tire & Rubber Company in Sun Prairie, Wis.
When her children were young, she made the life-changing decision to turn her life over to the Lord. Patricia (known to her friends as Pat), had an unwavering faith in God and was a faithful member of Calvary Gospel Church in Madison, Wis., for over 50 years. Being a lifelong learner and feeling called to develop her ministry skills, she enrolled in Purpose Institute, graduating in 2012. Pat had a servant’s heart and dedicated her life to serving in both her church and in her community. She had a heart for single mothers and was an active supporter of CIP (Christian Intervention Program), a program which centered around reducing recidivism in Dane County. From making meals to donating time and goods, she preferred to work behind the scenes.
She had a love and talent for quilting and used her skills to create beautiful and meaningful pieces for those close to her. Stitched into every quilt were countless hours of creative thought, intense work and so much love!
Patricia was loved by so many. Her positive outlook, generous spirit, and kind heart left an impression wherever she went. She never met a stranger that didn't quickly become a friend. She was a constant source of love and support to her children and grandchildren and will be sorely missed.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Helen Borth; and daughter-in-law, Lois Puckett. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Carl) Rehbein and Norman (Julie) Puckett; grandchildren, Isabella and Liliana Puckett; Roger Puckett, Christopher Puckett and Lacey Puckett; sister, Connie (Robert) Collins; and many other family members and friends, particularly at church and Oak Park Place.
Funeral services will be held at CALVARY GOSPEL CHURCH, 5301 Commercial Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, with Pastor John Seidl officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial is scheduled to take place at Wauzeka Cemetery in Wauzeka, at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022.
