Obituary
BLACK EARTH - David Phillip Uselman, age 68, of Black Earth, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, with his loving wife and daughter holding his hands as he peacefully went home to God. He was born on Feb. 13, 1954, in Richland Center, Wis., the son of Frank Uselman and Alice (Brock) Uselman.
Dave graduated from River Valley High School in 1973. He was united in marriage to Julie Clason on Oct. 25, 1975, at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Cross Plains, Wis. He was a member of Laborers Union 464, he enjoyed produce farming with his brother and Kevin Lucey and worked at Tyrol Basin for the past 11 seasons.
Dave enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, canoeing and playing yard games. He had a talent and a knack for being a lumberjack. He was the hardest working man you would ever meet and he was loved by all that knew him.
Dave is survived by his wife of 46 years, Julie; daughter, Jennifer (Greg) Dilley; and grandson, Gaige Dilley; grandchildren, Karen and David Uselman and their mother, Rachel Fundak; son, David (Terra) Uselman; two sisters, Mary Ellen (Clayton) Beck and Fran (Dale) Crawford; his twin brother, Donald (Mary) Uselman; sister-in-law, Bette Jo Uselman; his best friends, Lou Mahoney and Greg Reeve; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Richard and Dennis Uselman.
A celebration of life will be held at NEW HEIGHTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1705 Center St., Black Earth, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, with Pastor Rob Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday, April 28, 2022.
