Obituary

VERONA - Lisa Ann Novotny, age 58, of Verona, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was born on April 14, 1963, in Madison, the daughter of Ralph and Gloria (Fritsch) Novotny.


Lisa graduated from Oregon High School in 1981. She earned her associate degree in cosmetology and later owned and operated her own hair salon, Sache’ Salon & Spa, in Oregon for many years.   


Lisa cherished the time spent with her family and cat sitting her grand kitty, Marty. She loved cooking and baking and was an avid Packers and Badgers fan. Lisa enjoyed being outdoors, going four wheeling, gardening and cheering on her son while he played football.


Lisa is survived by her son, Zachary Novotny; two stepdaughters, Megan Mandt and Mckenzie Mandt; parents, Ralph and Gloria; sister-in-law, Sherry Novotny; two nephews, Shane (Sara) Novotny and Skyler (Stephanie) Novotny; niece, Shawna Kovacs; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by brother, Scott Novotny.


A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Lisa Novotny. I have known her, and have been a friend since high school. Lisa was always outgoing and was fun just to be around. We had some great times back in the day. I hadn't spoke with her in a while but we always shared some good laughs when our paths would cross.
