Irma Tapia

MADISON - Irma Tapia, age 45, of Madison, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was born on Dec. 19, 1976, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, the daughter of Victor Tapia Salmeron and Julia Aguilera Ochoa. Irma grew up in Guadalajara, Jalisco and attended Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla. She married Jose Gutierrez on Sept. 24, 1994. Irma worked as a custodian. Irma was truly a caring soul, always putting others before herself. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She also loved animals. Irma is survived by her husband, Jose; daughters, Julia Daniela Gutierrez and Erika "Nuvia" Gutierrez; son, Jose Gutierrez Jr.; mother, Julia Agueliera Ochoa; and 14 siblings. She was preceded in death by her father, Victor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. JOSEPH CHURCH, 1905 W. Beltline Highway, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2022.
