Obituary
STOUGHTON - Robin Lee (Beck) Gove, age 69, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Azura Memory Care in Stoughton. She left this earth to walk the heavenly streets of gold after battling Alzheimer's for the last few years.
Robin was born in Seattle, Wash., on Jan. 15, 1953, to Cecil and Adeline (Moyle) Beck, the youngest of four girls. She lived her life embracing her three loves: her love of God, her love of family, her love of people.
Robin's love of God started at a young age when she made a decision to let Jesus lead her life. Her dedication to God and her love for people led her to lead many Christian women’s groups and speak to thousands of women about God. She even spent a few years in the Philippines with her family church planting and ministering to needs there. She also wrote and published a book titled, “He's Speaking! Are We Listening?” and founded a ministry with that same title.
Robin married David Gove, her high school sweetheart, on Aug. 14, 1971, and together they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. They were blessed with four boys, David, Jeremy, Andrew, and Aaron. She loved any family event, and probably made up a few so the kids would come for another visit. She was the best wife and mother anyone could have asked for.
If we had to add a fourth love, it would be the love of travel. Robin and Dave traveled and set foot in all 50 states and on five of the seven continents. From renewing her wedding vows on the top of the Eiffel Tower, to going on safari in Africa, Robin loved the excitement of all that life had to give.
Robin is survived by her husband, Dave; sons, David (Stacy), Jeremy, Andrew (Rebecca), and Aaron (Katie); and grandchildren, Tyler, Streme, Brooke, and Jacob. She is further survived by her sisters, Sharon (Willie) and Jack; brother-in-law, Ron; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Candy.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, at DOOR CREEK CHURCH, 6602 Dominion Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Robin will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later time. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
