Obituary
MADISON - Theodore M. “Tedd” Mianowski, age 81, passed away on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022. He was born on April 7, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., the son of William and Helen (Gimidieff) Mianowski
Tedd proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, he continued to serve in the Air Force National Guard. Tedd worked for the Forest Products Laboratory for 35 years, retiring in 2005.
He was very generous with his time and volunteered with various organizations, such as the Skilaufers, the Polish Heritage Club and helped with a variety of events at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Tedd was an officer in the local Knights of Columbus Post No. 4527 and became a 4th Degree Knight in the KOC Assembly Post No. 1200.
Tedd is survived by his sister, Dottie Thurow; two nephews, Tony (Maria) Thurow and Michael Thurow; niece, Stephanie (Kelvin Dugbo) Thurow; and great-nieces and nephew, Ashley, Alex and Ella Thurow. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Family and friends who wish to view the Mass via LIVE STREAM may visit Tedd’s obituary page at www.gundersonfh.com and click on the Live Webcast link at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Military honors will be conducted following the Mass. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Tuesday. Burial will take place at St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Buffalo. At the request of the family, masks are being recommended, but are not mandatory.
