Obituary

MADISON- Sharen Stanford, age 68, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Feb. 2, 1954, in Madison, the daughter of Duane Morgan and Frances (Schwartz) Campbell.


Sharen attended Madison Central High School and when the school closed, she transferred to Madison West High School where she graduated in 1971. She was united in marriage to Allan Stanford on April 2, 1976.  


Sharen worked for University of Wisconsin Hospital for many years. She also played softball for the Madison City League.


Family was precious and most important to Sharen.  She enjoyed taking fishing trips with them; they would fish and Sharen would quietly read her books. She enjoyed playing games on her tablet and knitting and sewing. She created many quilts over the years that her family will always cherish.


Sharen is survived by her husband, Allan; three sons, Jeff (Kim) Anderson, Robert "Bobby" Stanford, Russell "Russ" (Angela) Stanford; six grandchildren, Kenneth Stanford, Kedrick Stanford, Morgan and Megan Anderson, Noah Stanford, Anthony Stanford and AJ Stanford; and one great-grandchild; four brothers, Tom Morgan, John Morgan, Harold "Hap" Morgan and Steve Morgan; two sisters, Sue (Tom) Leikness and Robin Zintz; and brother-in-law, Rocky Olson. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Linda Repsumer, Kathy Olson and Judy (David) French; and infant granddaughter, Celia Stanford.
