I had the honor of working with Darryl for many years at ExxonMobil and more importantly calling him a friend. We had many laughs and the two of us always said we had the crazy stuff to handle no one else wanted. He was such a sincere and caring soul. When he asked about me and my family I always knew he was genuinely interested and he always remembered my daughter’s birthday every year. May your family find comfort and strength in the Lord at this time. Kerri Harvey

It was an honor to know Darryl. Darryl was our lead patent attorney for the ExxonMobil Chemical Technology Licensing Division. His wisdom and strategy lead to many successful ExxonMobil patent applications around the world. In 2009, Darryl was awarded the prestigious Global Technology Award for his next generation alkylation patent and freedom to operate strategy by the President of the Company. His patent and freedom to operate insights were key to navigating a very crowded patent field and to the successful commercialization of the next generation alkylation technology. It was a pleasure to collaborate with Darryl during the years that we worked at ExxonMobil. Our thoughts and prayers are with Darryl's family. -Terry Helton
