Obituary
OREGON - Betty J. Kluever, age 78, of Oregon, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Feb. 11, 1943, in Madison, the daughter of Marvin and Nora Hanson.
Betty graduated from West High School. She married Fritz Kluever on June 16, 1962, in Madison. Betty worked at Carnes in Verona for many years before retiring in 2009. After retirement, she started work as a crossing guard for the Oregon School District, where she made many new friends.
Betty enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, walks around Oregon, texting, Hallmark movies and Coca-Cola. She also enjoyed visits with her grand dogs.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Robert) Gefke of Oregon and Brenda (Craig) Hahn of Stoughton; and two grandchildren, Emily Gefke and Natalie Gefke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz; and her parents.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 12 noon on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022. Burial will be held at Storytown Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be gifted in Betty’s name to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
