Obituary
MADISON - Reid Ralph Harrsch, age 97, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on Jan. 20, 1925, in Niobrara, Nebraska, the son of Theodore C. Harrsch and Gertrude Eve Reid.
Reid graduated from Niobrara High School in the spring of 1943, three weeks before he was sent to basic training in the U.S. Army. He married Patricia Goldin Harrsch in Madison.
Reid worked as a librarian at the main library on the UW-Madison campus and the State of Wisconsin Reference and Loan Library. He was an avid reader and loved bird watching around the Madison area.
Reid is survived by his son, Keith Harrsch. He was preceded in death by wife, Patricia Goldin Harrsch; and daughter, Sheila Reid Harrsch.
