MADISON - Brandon Lalor, age 34, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022. He was born on March 12, 1987, in Madison, Wis., the son of Donne and Beth (Gehrke) Lalor. Brandon was baptized at Saint Mary of the Lake (Westport, Wis.). Brandon grew up in Monona.
Brandon enjoyed fishing, writing music, playing guitar, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. He couldn’t help but draw others in with his infectious smile and contagious laugh. Brandon was always the life of the group with his high energy and positive will-do attitude. He was brave, adventurous, enthusiastic, and smart. Brandon wore a smile as if it were a badge of honor. He could find humor in all situations.
He cherished the very close relationships he held with his many family members. When it came to his family, Brandon never lacked love or appreciation. He would do anything for his sons, Brody and Avid. Brandon loved fishing, boating, and spending time at the beach with Brody. He never wanted his time to end with Brody or Avid. His affection for Avid was unconditional; Brandon never missed an opportunity to hold, cuddle or kiss Avid. Brandon also had a special bond with his maternal uncle, Bruce Gehrke, and his maternal grandparents.
Brandon is survived by his two sons, Brody Lalor (6) and Avid Stilson (5 months); parents, Donne and Beth Lalor; brothers, Joseph (Tabatha) Lalor and Justin (Kay) Lalor; sisters, Anne Lalor and Lydia (Matthew Dutcher) Lalor; grandparents, A. Zane (Jeanette) Gehrke; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, D. Joseph and Annette Lalor.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
