Obituary
STOUGHTON / WAUKESHA - Sharon Ann Rapp-Dietsche, age 75, formerly of Waukesha, late of Stoughton, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on July 1, 1948, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Walter and Lucile (Bombinski) Rapp.
Sharon graduated from Whitnall High School in Greenfield, Wis. and from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in fine Art. She worked as a graphic artist and designer at several companies, and later retired from Kohls Department store in 2016.
Sharon loved photography and was always the family member behind the camera capturing special moments. She loved art in all its forms both visual and performance. She also enjoyed drawing, painting, hiking, camping, observing wildlife, and being outdoors. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her daughter, whom she adored.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Evie Cress) Vorpagel; brother, Michael Rapp; sisters, Michele (Chris) Ladewig and Cindy Tooher; and nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lucile; sister-in-law, Debra Rapp; and brother-in-law, Miles Tooher.
A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, with the Rev. Jerry Tews presiding. Burial will be private on a future date at Town of Dunn Burying Ground. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin or the Girl Scouts of Badgerland would be appreciated by the family.
