Walter and I first met Dave and Arlene when we moved into our new house on Coventry Lane. Our friendship developed when they joined us on a bowling league. Dave and Arlene became our extended family. Dave was always looking for a way to live his dream on Pewaukee Lake. When he found two adjoining lots, we built two houses next to each other. We have many wonderful memories of celebrating our anniversaries boating on the lake (Bring on the Asti Spumante!) Our family enjoyed many boating activities with Captain Dave. Dave was also our “go to” computer tech as well as stereo guy. We’ll remember him every time we listen to the speakers he made for our Florida condo. Dave, we truly miss you. Walter and Mary Ann

Arlene,Juliette &Dave So sorry to hear about Dave sr. His obituary was spot on. I know we haven’t kept in touch but have remembered often the great friends on Coventry lane. You are all in my prayers at this difficult time. Ken and Linda Friedman

Dave was my best friend for over 50 years. We played golf together with Dave’s lifelong friend, Mike Baranowski two to three times a week, weather and health permitting. One of my vivid memories of Dave was that he memorized the full speech of Richard Burton playing Thomas Becket in which he excommunicated Lord Gilbert, committing his soul to eternal damnation for murdering a priest. (He could be very dramatic). I cam say with apolitical certainty that there is no power on earth that could keep Dave from entering the gates of heaven and enjoying his eternal reward. I hope we meet again on the first tee on heaven’s golf course. Se you soon, Dave.

I was saddened to hear of Dave's passing. As the advisor of the senior guest auditor program at UW-Madison, I spoke to Dave almost every semester since he started auditing. I never ended up meeting him in person, but I looked forward to hearing from him. He seemed to connect with everyone he met, and I am lucky to have gotten to know him the little bit I did. I don't think there will be a semester that goes by that I won't think of him. He will be sorely missed- Anne Niendorf
