Obituary

MADISON - Lorraine Iva Otis-LaBelle, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026, after a brief illness.


Lorraine married her childhood sweetheart, Delbert A. Otis, on April 11, 1954, and they had five children. She worked at Madison East High School for many years until her retirement. Lorraine loved to go camping and fishing, and being outdoors. She was also an avid quilter, and she loved to crochet and sew. She enjoyed family time and loved them dearly. She was always kind, sweet, loving and she had a great sense of humor.


Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Del; beloved mother-in-law, Bernice Otis; her parents; four brothers; four brothers-in-law; several beloved sisters-in-law; a son-in-law; and several other much-loved family members. She is survived by her children, Randy (Cindy Soderholm) Otis, Ritchie (Catherine) Otis, Rusty Otis, Suzette Gotrik and Sherry Novotny; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.


A gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
