I worked with Harry in the late 1970's as his assistant when he was reassessing the City of Evansville. He taught me a lot about buildings that I've always been able to use. He had a great sense of humor which you had to have in his business. I'm sorry that I didn't know he was in Madison or I would have gone to visit him. I am very sorry for your loss.

Harry was one of the first persons to welcome me to Capitol Lakes where he lived for many years. Our connection? He read that I had been born in Gresham, Wisconsin, and he told me that he grew up in Shawano, about 13 miles away. I had not met anyone who knew where Gresham was (population about 350) and from then on we enjoyed talking and whenever we met, Harry always had a "hello" and a smile. At Capitol Lakes he shared the artistry of his wife and plate collection of his daughter - which we all appreciated. Sally Davis, Capitol Lakes
