Mr. Kaspar was a lovely man, so kind and funny. Every time we would be at his home, he made us welcome and then head off to cheer on the Badgers or catch the news. I think of him doing so on our 'Blue Bloods' nights and it makes me smile. He will be missed. My condolences to the entire family; you all are in my thoughts and held in my prayers. May your many memories be a comfort and a joy to you as you remember your father, grandfather, in-law, and uncle.

I met Kurt in 1941 or 1942 when he walked across the street from where he lived on Monona Drive to the putting green at Monona Golf Course. Butch Payne and I were putting for pennies against other guys. He introduced himself and I asked if he wanted to join us, which he did. Kurt, Butch, myself and Kurt's dad played a lot of golf on Saturdays. We became good friends and played golf up until he was 90 and I was 88. On Saturdays in the fall, we watched Wisconsin football at Kurt's home and with his dad. Kurt's mother Ruby always made sure we had lunch. During the WW II years we hung around the Monona Golf Course, where we learned to play golf by caddying. Kurt was a fierce competitor and we played together on the East Golf Team. I was two years behind him, but remember some team matches. We had great matches with other Madison High Schools. We were both members of the Madison Elks Club and worked together on the finance committee. Kurt was Chairman for many years and because of his leadership he did more to keep the Club solvent then anyone. We will miss you and will see you in Heaven one day. Love, Your buddy and his wife, Don and Beverly Amacher

I always had a good time visiting with Kurt, whether it was at an Auditor's Conference or at the annual golf outing. RIP Gary Tveten
