FITCHBURG - Robert Alan Pauley, age 65, of Fitchburg, passed away on Wednesday, Jan 5, 2022, at the UW-Madison Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born on Aug. 28, 1956, in Baraboo, the son of Frances Pauley. Robert graduated from LaFollette High School and took classes at MATC in Madison.
Robert spent the majority of his life working the night shift as a security guard. He loved Dr. Who and anything to do with the Titanic and NASA, as his biggest dream was to walk on the moon. He had one of the biggest hearts and everyone who met him came to know him as a friend.
Robert is survived by his fiancée, Mary Koester; mother, Frances; daughter, Krystal of Houston, Texas; sons, Hunter of Janesville and Jacob and Joshua of Waunakee; four grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and his special furry friend, Ozzie. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Melissa Pauley; his uncle, Wayne; and aunt, Marion.
