Douglas "Doug" Michel Terhall

MADISON – Douglas Terhall, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. He was born on July 5, 1959, in Madison to Dean and Marlene (Jungbluth) Terhall. Doug was a Madison East High School graduate. He married Shelby (Jacobson) Terhall on June 21, 1986, in Madison. After 28 years of foundry work, Doug chose to spend time with his family and grandchildren. He was a lifetime sports enthusiast. He especially loved the Badgers, Packers, Brewers, Bucks, NASCAR, and golfing. When he wasn’t enjoying sports he and the family would go boating, camping or hit the road often taking the scenic routes. Doug was an amateur photographer and would follow a pair of nesting eagles and would visit Cherokee Marsh to see what wildlife he could observe. Doug is survived by his wife, Shelby, of 35 years; children, Travis (Dori) Terhall and Talycia (Delfino Morales) Terhall; mother, Marlene; three grandchildren, Jocelyn Brown, Charlie Morales and Liliana Morales; two sisters, Cheryl (Don Rebholz) Terhall and Tina Graser; brother, Todd Terhall; mother-in-law, Anita Jacobson; three sisters-in-law, Sue (Jim) Mick, Sherrie (Jim) McVeigh and Pattie (Jim) Salter; and brother-in-law, Steve Jacobson. He is further survived by many relatives and friends including best friend of 52 years, Mike Voight. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean; father-in-law, Ronald Jacobson; and an infant brother. Per his wishes there will not be a funeral. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
