MADISON/KENOSHA/SAXEVILLE – William Mark “Bill” Pivovar, age 81, of Madison, Wis., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born May 27, 1940, in Kenosha, Wis., the son of Casimir Pivovar and Margaret Fairbanks. He married Jean Hansen on April 17, 1971, in Waterloo.
Bill graduated from Bradford High School in Kenosha. He worked as a storekeeper for WE Energies for 33 years. In addition to storekeeping, he was also a bocce ball coach for Special Olympics for over 10 years. Bill was an avid Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan and enjoyed spending time at their home on the lake. Bill enjoyed fixing anything that came his way; if something was broken, Bill would fix it.
William is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Amy (Cenon) Buencamino, Sara (Carl Nelson) Pivovar, Kari (Steve) Fasulo, and Eric Pivovar; grandchildren, Adam, Ryan and Anna Buencamino, Ethan and Owen Nelson, and Joseph and Daniel Fasulo; siblings, Margaret Gertz, Ruth (Larry) Rohde, Jane Reynolds, Terri Schlitz, Tom (Jayne) Pivovar, Dorothy (Mike) Myren and Jerry LaCosse; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kirk; brother, Joseph; and sister, Carol LaCosse.
A funeral service will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sheryl Erickson presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill’s name may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, ELCA, PO Box 27, Saxeville, WI 54976; Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, WI 53711; Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711; or any charity of the donor’s choosing. Bill was an amazing person with a great mechanical mind. He could fix anything with a motor or engine. He had a plan for everything including building his cottage on the lake. I was proud to work and learn with him. (Jerry)
