RIO - Maria G. Reinhart, age 59, of Rio, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at Prairie Ridge Health, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on June 27, 1962, in Madison, the daughter of Frank and Betty (Caucutt) Romano.
Maria attended Madison West High School. Then later in life obtained her LPN Degree from MATC. She married Christopher Reinhart on Aug. 18, 1979. Maria worked as a nurse for UW Hospital, Badger Prairie, and assisted living for 15+ years. She earned a purple heart award while working in the Burn unit at UW hospital for her excellent care.
Maria enjoyed ghost hunting, singing, and listening to all kinds of music. She loved karaoke. She loved being a grandma and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking care of everyone. Maria’s greatest passion was being a wife and mother.
Maria is survived by her husband, Christopher; three daughters, Anna (James Kohl) Reinhart, Bettina (Jesse Anderson) Reinhart and Mary Reinhart; two sons, Joseph Reinhart (Leah Bay) and Christopher Reinhart, Jr.; nine grandchildren, Michael Jones, Cameron Nelson, Jasmine Nelson, Brayden Berray, Brodie Berray, Bella Berray, James Berray, Gianna Reinhart and Jaxson Kohl; and brother, Tim Romano. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Betty Romano; and her brother, Michael Romano.
Services will be held at a later date.
