I knew and loved Ruth for many years at Walgreens on Madison Wisconsin Whenever I had to go to Walgreens I made it a point to talk with Ruth. I was told I would not be able to know her last name and I would forget it because I have a TBI but I am so sad that I didn't know until 03/29/2022 that she had passed. My heart I'd shatter that I was held off from saying our goodbye

A Gold Star Mother has fallen. Let us never forget that she gave birth to a child who became an American warrior, who gave her life on the battlefield for our freedoms. Ruth Ann Hugo you will forever be remembered as the mother of a hero. With your passing the sun no longer shines as bright, and the world is now a little dimmer. You lived your life with purpose and passion. You're now walking with your daughter in Heaven, and you both have seen the face of God. Rest In Peace.
