I met Kristie and got to know her a little online and followed her blogs. I loved her for her care, her creativity, her gentleness, her grace, her integrity, her intelligence and her kindness which she so generously shared with us. I was privileged to be Kristie’s second grade teacher and become her teaching colleague and finally a friend. I have been blessed by her kindness and also challenged by her pursuit of living well in the midst of illness. She is a teacher always in these ways: by writing a weekly blog, in setting and achieving her goals and by illuminating what is important in life. Just read her obituary! What a beautiful person, our Kristie. Thank God for her being in our lives.
