Obituary
OREGON - William F. “Bill” Thompson, age 70, of Oregon, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, with his family at his side at University Hospital. He was born on Jan. 27, 1951, in Richland Center, WI, the son of Bill and Lou (Wendelin) Thompson.
Bill graduated from Madison LaFollette High School in 1969. He married Judy Callahan on Feb. 17, 1973. Bill was a master plumber by trade. He was a former member of the Oregon Masonic Lodge and the Zor Shrine.
Bill loved hunting, fishing and all things outdoors. You could always find him every morning enjoying coffee with friends. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching his children and grandchildren perform in their sports and activities. He was an avid sports fan.
Bill is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Terri (Curt) Mikkelson; two sons, Kent (Jenni) Thompson and Kurt Thompson; six grandchildren, Samantha, Emily, Elnora, Tyler, Alivia, and Greta; brother, Dave (Dorothy) Thompson; sister, Lynn (Dave) Kruchten; and stepfather, Stan Veverka. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Thompson; mother, Lou Veverka; and brother, Kent Thompson.
Visitation will be held at GUNDERDSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

The Madison LaFollette Class of 1969 remembers that Bill helped his Wrestling Team place 3rd in the State Wrestling competition in 1969; that he was so much fun, and was a friend to many.
