Elaine Lehrke

WAUNAKEE - Elaine Lehrke, age 80, of Waunakee, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Sept. 18, 1941, in Caledonia, Minn., the daughter of Harold and Evelyn Quinnell. Elaine graduated from high school in 1959. She married George Lehrke on March 10, 1964, in South Dakota. Elaine was a self-employed accountant for several family businesses over the years. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed various road trips across the country with her family. Elaine found her pride and joy in her granddaughter after losing her husband, George, and was always very active in her granddaughter’s life. Always having been the foundation of strength, she was the best friend and the best mom/grandmother ever to her daughter, Heidi, and granddaughter, Sienna. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Heidi (Rich Eberle) Lehrke; granddaughter, Sienna Eberle; sisters, Krin (Peter) Krause and Glenda Solberg; brother, Ronald Quinnell; nephew, Kyle Solberg; and niece, Kasey (Nick) Rask. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Evelyn; and her husband, George. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12,2021.
