I will miss my occasional partner, teammate, opponent and all-around good guy. I am so sorry Caryl. Be strong.

I met Mike over 30 years ago at the local bridge club and was immediately drawn to his intellect and witty demeanor. He could dish out a joke and take one as well as anyone and had a great sense of humor. Some of my favorite memories are of Mike, Bob Esser and me trading barbs after a session of bridge. He was one of the best bridge players I’ve ever known. Mike and I became Life Masters on the same day, an honor I cherish still. I’ll miss you, my good man.

Mike prepared our taxes for several years. We loved his dry sense of humor and wit. During our visit last year, he mentioned he was struggling with some medical issues but he didn’t go into much detail. His demeanor was always professional and positive and he never wanted the time we spent to be about him. We are so sorry to see that he passed! Our condolences and prayers go out to his family. We will miss him! Jeff and Toni Addison

Our condolences. As we sort of eased out of bridge I didn’t have many chances to see mike. I have many good memories from the early years when carrie and I were friends. Also saw mike often in the library. I was a witness for his first marriage.please let us know when you schedule the memorial service. Mary Knapp

Our sympathies to Caryl on her loss. We have known Mike since the 1980's and he was always a formidable bridge opponent. We also considered him a friend. The Madison bridge world will miss him. Steve & Christa Slinger
