COTTAGE GROVE - Ashley Amber Lynn “Ash” Hamilton, of Cottage Grove, Wis., passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at only 25 years old. She was born Dec. 7, 1995, in Madison, Wis.
Ashley attended Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua, Wis., and Stoughton High School in Stoughton, Wis. After graduation she took various college courses, including becoming a certified dog trainer, and wanted to work with kids or pursue a field in the nursing profession.
In her short life, Ashley was always looking out for everyone else, even if that meant putting herself last. She was the best person to talk to and knew exactly how to make you smile or laugh when you needed it the most. Her sense of humor came so easily, and her smile drew people to her. She had a love for being outdoors, cooking, drawing, music, gaming, doing makeup and hair and many various craft projects. Her love of animals shined through with her love for cats, especially her “trouser bois,” Kash and Kylo. Most of all, Ashley loved spending time with her friends, family, and being a big sister.
Ashley is survived by her parents, Brandy Miller and Brice Hamilton; sister, Aurora Miller; grandparents, Jon Miller and Bill (Karen) Hamilton; great-grandmother, Patricia Kluetzman; aunts and uncles, Taylor Miller, Tori (Jaime) Freel, Becky Hamilton, Bobbi (Mike) Kegler and Brian (Brenda) Hamilton; and cousins, Kaden and Gavin Braun, Cody and Joey Kegler, Hailey, Kaitlyn and Leah Hamilton, Kaila and Shelby Klawes and Ben Lewis, Andraya Bagienski, Angel Guzman, Auston Garza, Arlen Garza, and Alaina Freel.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Debby (Joe) McWilliams; great-grandfather, Milton Kluetzman; and her furbaby, which she had the biggest bond with, Kolbi.
A visitation will be held at Gunderson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021. Burial procession will follow and will be held at Highland Memory Gardens, 3054 County Road BB, Madison, WI 53718.

Ashley is one of my “life long friends” i used to tell her, i moved around alot as a kid and ashley has consistently been someone i talked to always. We shared the deepest parts of ourselves and ill never forget how forgiving and genuine she was, any one who knew her knows that about her. The most genuine, selfless, humans ive ever met. I wont ever forget the context of our last conversation, and i wish i couldve been there more physically. Ashley was a light in the darkness, no matter what she went through she always still managed to smile, to push forward….even managed to make a joke out of things, like myself💙 Rest in paradise ash, you are eternally here, through all the relationships you had. All of us took a little piece of you..
