Bill "Willy" Verriden

WATERTOWN - William Joseph “Willy” Verriden, age 66, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at Froedtert Hospital. He was born on Feb. 9, 1955, in New Port, R.I., the son of Kenneth and Martha (Frankwick) Verriden. Bill graduated from La Follette High School. He married Patty Moran on March 21, 2007, in Jefferson. Bill worked as a painter. He was a dedicated painter and took great pride in his work. Bill was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed football and basketball. Bill is survived by his sons, Jacob Verriden and Joshua Verriden; mother, Martha Verriden; brother, Thomas (Dawn) Verriden; sister, Catherine "Cat" Verriden; five grandchildren, Mercedes Verriden, Elizabeth Verriden, Andreah Daum, Braylyn Kratzer and Aziah Keller; and former wife, Renee Braker. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Verriden; three brothers, Steven Verriden, Patrick Verriden, and Joseph Verriden; and wife, Patty Moran. A visitation will be held at Gunderson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021.
