David K Meyer

DeForest - David Keith Meyer, age 74, of DeForest, passed away on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at his home. He was born on Nov. 28, 1946, in Appleton, the son of Milton and Leonette (Verdon) Meyer. Dave graduated from Monona Grove High School with the class of 1965. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1969. Dave married Gloria (Parrott) Meyer on Sept. 18, 1971. Dave worked in the printing industry as a lithographer for his entire career, retiring from Freedom Graphics in Janesville. He was very devoted to his Lord and Savior. Dave enjoyed traveling, collecting items and visiting flea markets. In his younger years, he enjoyed dancing and fast cars. Over the years he taught his children strong values and they cherished the time spent with him, the camping trips and simply spending time outdoors. Dave is survived by his wife, Gloria Meyer; son, Jason (Shari) Meyer; daughter, Angela Meyer; grandchildren, Rachel Meyer, Mathew Meyer, Ethan Jacob and Zachary Jacob; two sisters, Sharon Meyer and Meredith Meyer-Ring; and brother, Dennis (Carolyn) Meyer and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Jim. A funeral service will be held at Gunderson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, with Pastor Dale Smalley presiding. Burial will follow at Blooming Grove Cemetery, Madison. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Friday.
