Obituary

HANCOCK - Ronald David Larson, age 81, of Hancock, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, peacefully at home. He was born on Jan. 25, 1940, in Stoughton, Wis., the son of Johnas and Marie (Steinhauer) Larson. Ronald graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1958. He married Joann Koerner on July 8, 1961, in Monona. He served in the U.S. Navy for five years as a communications technician. Ronald worked at Oscar Mayer and later at the Post Office as a maintenance supervisor, retiring in 2002. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed spending time on Fish Lake, and loved being "Bumpa" to his three wonderful granddaughters. Ronald is survived by his wife, Joann: son, Jeff (Angi) Larson; three granddaughters, Christine (Alexander) Larson, Katie Larson and Emma Larson; sister, LaVonne Lamb; and daughter-in-law, Judy Larson. He was preceded in death by three sons, Steve, Randy (Lauren), and David Larson; and his parents, Johnas and Marie Larson. A Funeral Service will be held at Gunderson East Funeral And Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 23, 2021, with Sandra Scheible presiding. Private burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021.
