Ruth Fox

BROOKLYN - Ruth Ann Fox, age 68, of Brooklyn, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. She was born on Jan. 4, 1953, in Boscobel, the daughter of Adrian “Ole” Kast and Barbara (Hopkins) Kast. Ruth Ann worked as a daycare provider for over 40 years and was owner of Miss Rudie’s Daycare, where the kids knew her as “Miss Rudie” or simply “Grandma Rudie”. She loved children and was an honorary Mom, Grandma and Aunt to so many! Ruth had a green thumb and filled her home with plants and flowers. She loved entertaining and being surrounded by friends and family, if there was a special occasion or something to celebrate she made it happen. She had a birthday party for everyone, even her daycare kids. Ruth is survived by her husband of 43 years, Greg West; two daughters, Barbie (Dan Krauss) Fox and Brenda (Kevin) Sogn; five grandchildren, Zachary (Jacki), Cheyanne (Nathaniel), Hanna (Finley), Adriann (Antonio) and Brooks; six great-grandchildren, Quinn, Treytyn, Kendrick, Zaythayn, Nayale and Nylah; brothers and sister, Harvey (Maria), Jerry (Lisa), Albert (Christina) and Florenda; nieces and nephews, Bobby, Mark, Hayes, Robert, Kenny Ray, Jeremy, Brent, Brandin, Shelly, Briana, Jacob, Angie, Casey, Bradley, Spencer, Chelsey, April, Jamie, Jason and Joshua; and numerous great-nieces and nephews all of who she loved dearly. She is also survived by her sister and brothers-in-law, Glenn, Gerald and Elaine (Scott); and 12 step brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Adrian Jr. (Mary) and Howie; and sisters, Marylin and Josie. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday Nov 24, 2021.
